if you have endometriosis, having the adhesion's removed will help you if you want to get pregnant as long as you don't wait too long after the operation, since there is no cure for endometriosis... it will come back.... having the operation does not make you more fertile than any other woman, but it can make you as fertile as any normal women -since endometriosis can make it very difficult if not impossible to become pregnant. and it spreads in the body like cancer returning after operations to remove it... so if you would like to get pregnant don't wait long after the laproscopy to to so . I myself have suffered with this for many years it is a very painful and frustrating condition......my best wishes to you!

While Endometriosis is a leading cause of female infertility, there is no reason to assume that you will be one of the ones with the disease who experiences infertility as a symptom. Having said that, it is imperative that the disease not only be surgically diagnosed, as is required for an accurate diagnosis, but also **effectively** treated during the lap. Laser ablation, fulguration, cauterization, etc. are all commonly performed, but are *not* wholly effective. See www.centerforendo.com and www.endometriosistreatment.org for information on excision and why it is superior. If your Endo is effectively and meticulously removed, you should have a drastically improved chance at conceiving. In studies, after excision, even stage IV patients go on by 50% to succesfully conceive and carry to term. However, as noted, you should really start at the top and go straight to a specialist rather than go through the repeat surgeries/Lupron/etc. merry-go-round that so many docs subject their patients to. Get it diagnosed and treated the right way early on. Good luck.

Surgery isn't an 'ideal' solution to Endo. I've read many stories about how it didn't help and, in some instances, made things worse.

I've read about how Dr. Randine Lewis helps patients naturally by way of improving their diet and administering acupuncture, exercising (qi gong . . . or something), and other natural methods. Maybe you should take a look at her website and see if that might help . . .? Her website is www.thefertilesoul.com
