People don't have the courage to withstand the barrage of opposition. Bono posted a question here about helping people and he was crucified by a slew of questions.

Would you stand up for a cause knowing you will be crucified?

Because they do not know how to or perhaps it is fear holding some back from actually living their life with a clear conscience. People do stand up for what they want. Did you forget the millions of illegal aliens march through the streets of America last month. Or the Lobbyists in Washington taking care of their special interest groups, Big Oil, CEO's who request larger bonuses, Enron Execs who plead innocence, Terrorists, Suicide bombers, People who really want something bad enough will stand up, march, protest, lie down, cheat, steal and kill for almost anything.

Because the wacko-left along with their mainstream media sycophants are waging an intellectual inquisition of political correctives to try and shame into submission anybody that might threaten their agendas.

All of the institutions that have held this country together are now jeopardized by new ones that aren't as stable. As a result, the moral fabric and solidarity of this country's citizens is being destroyed to a point of which you can't even trust your next-door neighbor!

I think they're afraid of being labelled politically incorrect. It seems if you stand up for what you believe in you are being insensitive to others rights and feelings. It's just ridiculous. Generations to come aren't going to give a damn about anything because it will be too much trouble or (god forbid) illegal to voice or act on your opinions.
