The truth about Zidane: Zidane is driven by an inner rage. He can still erupt into shocking violence that is as sudden as it is inexplicable. The most famous examples of this include head butting Jochen Kientz of Hamburg during a Champions League match, when he was at Juventus in 2000 (an action that cost him a five match suspension) and his stomping on the helpless Faoud Amin of Saudi Arabia during the 1998 World Cup finals (this latter action was, strangely enough, widely applauded in the Berber community )

it seems that materazi provoked zidane....The defender appeared to have said something to Zidane as the French captain walked past, causing Zidane to turn around and lunge at the Italian.....
as Domenech rightly said tht man of the match should have been given to materazi....for scoring the goal and for sendin zidane off...

i totally agree, man ,that materazzi is always surounded by red cards he must have said something ,u know!and zizou i mean he just head butted an opponent in the world cup final tat was supposed to be his farewell to his career!
