I don't mind very wealthy people who are nice, but there are so many clueless children of wealthy parents that are rude, disloyal, and ignorant I just want to strangle them. For example, my child brought home a very wealthy kid (14 years old-my son's age) and he had no manners once he walked in te door, he was talking rudely to his friends on his cell phone and didn't want to play any sports with the rest of the children at my son's party....are there any children that you know of whose parents are very wealthy and the children are just horrible?

YES~!

They are horrible. There is a park 2 blocks from my house, and these kids would rather play ball in my yard, breaking my plants--harassing my cat.

They've learned $$$ can correct their mistakes. So they simply do not care.their parents dont either.

There are no wealthy children in my neighborhood because I live in a middle class area. Having been a long time teacher, I've known rude kids from both sides of the tracks. It depends on how they are parented as they learn to treat people the way their parents do. Some wealthy kids are very angry and rude because their parents are always buying them off with things and money rather than their love; some poor kids are angry because they have nothing and are tired of watching their parents struggle and livng from pay day to pay day. I know a lot of poor parents who one would never know they were poor; they are proud and appreciate an education, and don't even think of themselves as poor. I was poor as a child but didn't know it till I went to college and saw all the money things the girls in my dorm had. However, I quickly realized I was loved and most of those girls did not have healthy self-esteem, manners, nor pride. But I did develop friendships during college with some rich girls who wanted to be like the poor kid, ME! I believe all children are crying for acceptance and sometimes feel the need to act out to get attention. If we take the time to get to know the kids and gently tell them they don't need to do acting out around me, it's amazing how they can lose the big headed power acts.
