Big Bird is covered with 4,000 real feathers from white American turkeys. The feathers are dyed yellow-orange at the base and a lighter yellow at the tip. Each feather is attached to the costume individually.

There are about 1,000 feathers on the costume andt hey probably got Big Bird from a little kid like 5 years old.

there are lots of worse issues than peta available human beings --- as in people who abuse and overlook animals; domestic dog turbines; byb; all those unfavourable animals in kill shelters. whilst peta may be off the wall, they advantageous are not those contributing to the thousands and thousands of homeless pets available that finally end up ineffective each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days interior the U.S. on my own. keep your vitriol for what could make a difference to the welfare of animals, no longer some fringe loop team that isn't breeding them.
