I spent 21 days in a similar place in Canada and it saved my life. Most of these places use the 12 step system taken from Alcoholics Anonymous, changed slightly to relate more directly to narcotics. There is one-on-one counselling and medical staff are on hand at all times. I was not allowed to see anyone during the 21 days, and only approved phone numbers (ie mom, sister) were dialled for me to make sure I didn't call a dealer.

If the teen is ready to go, waste no time. Drug addiction only gets worse and leads to actions that can change or end your life forever. My thoughts are with you
