There are more formats for resumes than anyone can imagine, but I believe that there are some things you should always include and some things you should always avoid. Above all, please keep in mind that anyone reading it will spend no more than 30 seconds looking for things they want to see before moving on. Actually, the thirty seconds may be a bit high these days.
First, I suggest not including an objective. It's just hot air and people reading it know it. Second, gear your resume to the field in which you want to work. Don't make one general resume and expect everyone to want to read all the details of your life.
I suggest the following: when you list your experience, begin each item with a verb. This will take some work but it is worth it. See the web site listed below. As an example you might have:
Conducted new-hire orientation and maintained new-hire paperwork.
Led daily supervisory meetings to ensure call quality and overall rep performance.
Created personnel quality reports for management.
Trained and Motivated reps to ensure efficiency and ethics adherence.
When you have received an award or done something that is measurable, include it (eg, Improved sales by 37% in 6 months.)

Lastly, format is everything. If you don't draw the attention of someone quickly, he or she won't see it. On the above examples, try using bullets. I like the added touch of making the first action word (verb) in bold type.
