Go get a test at your doctor's, those are the most accurate. But chances are if you took 6 that said positive (providing that a couple were from different packs) & only one said negative, the neg one was a dud. But please go to the docs & get checked out, if money is an issue they have free clinics where you can just get a free blood tested preg test.

It could be too early to even show up on a urine test. A blood test will show you are pregnant only after 6 days of conception....
I took several tests and got both negatives and positives. What gives? See FAQ 9 above; there are many variables-- concentration of urine, sensitivity of the test. Since true false positives are pretty rare, if you get at least one positive HPT, you are probably pregnant. Wait a couple of days and test again or try another brand if you are suspect. If you suspect you have a true false positive (meaning you did not conceive and still got a positive!

Well, all pregancy tests rely on the detection of HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) a hormone that is only secreted in the presence of a fetus. The problem with many over the counter pregancy tests is that they detect the hormone, but are under sensitive and give a false positive when exposed to a hormone with a similar structure. OTC tests work by having a layer of antibodies that have a specific affinity to HCG, the binding is induced by protein interactions with a specific shape-- given that most reproductive hormones are incredibly similar in shape means that false positives (and false negatives) are not uncommon. At any rate, the best course of action is to see an OBGYN-- only they will be able to tell if you are really pregnant. Also, early detection and observation of the early fetus is critical to ensuring a problem free pregnancy. Good luck.

OTC pregnancy tests are not always correct. I would trust the blood test, but if you just want to make sure, get another blood test done to be on the safe side. Good luck.

Blood test is far more accurate than those "test sticks", the only negative result can be a error of it, since it has a low accuracy.

Not sure what that would mean. You could always goto to the doctor and they can do blood tests and tell you if your pregnant or not. If you do not have insurance try planned parenthood. :) I hope I could help you some!

It means you should go see your doctor, chances are the recent test may have been wrong or something has happened to the baby.
