That's pretty good. You do a great job with descriptions. Try stretching them out a little more. The better you describe something, the better a writer you are.

It's very good. Try different ways of writing the same pieces. You''ll come up with new ideas.
'A crimson morning sun rose slowly, giving a light across the land of Hiemal and to the small village called Fira. Fira, a once beautiful village, like the rest of the world, was dying. The fields were barren. Crops never growing no matter how much care was put to them. Animals were becoming more ferocious as their hunger brought them closer to the village. It seemed like everyday another foolish child or adult would venture out into the night, never to return.'
Etc...etc...
It's your story, you decide on the final outcome.
Good luck.

Yes, it looks like you can create a compelling description of a place.
A pointer: Everyday is an adjective, used when you are talking about an "everyday event" or an "everyday dress." When you are talking about each and every day, use "every day." Most native English speakers get this wrong.
Writing is a lot of work, but if you are committed it can be a good career. It is very fulfilling.

What hobbies me regarding poetry is the international around me--human nature and behaviour. Corruption and integrity. reliable and evil. Write out of your heart. Based only on that its really impossible to tell if you should or shouldn't. Its up to YOU! If the words are in you and need to come out and that's what you'd like to do, then pursue it! Don't make such decisions based on anyone elses thoughts or perceptions of what you create. "Art" in all its forms is really a gift which the artisan creates and gives/presents to the world, you'r imagination isn't any worse than anyone elses! If that's your calling go for it!

"Write without pay until somebody offers to pay you. If nobody offers within three years, sawing wood is what you were intended for." - Mark Twain
You seem to have a knack for creating beautiful imagery; this is true, but how are you at character development, originality, plot development, grammar & language, and above all self-dicipline?

Go write an entire novel and then try to get it published. If it gets published, then I would recommend becoming a writer. If it doesn't, then you'll know how good your wrting is and how hard it is to be a writer and you'll be able to answer this for yourself.

I think you have a lot of potential. I am a writer myself, and my passion is to write about everything and anything. Don't limit yourself, experiment, and most of all, have fun!
