IT COULD BE YOUR VIDEO CARD OR YOUR CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET. IF YOU HAVE DIAL UP IT WILL DO THIS. YOU MIGHT LOOK INTO HIGH SPEED LIKE ROADRUNER. I HAVE IT AND ITS GOOD.

What type of video card is installed on the computer, and are the drivers up to date? Usually as long as all your drivers are current than you shouldnt have any problems. If they are t.v. shows from the internet chances are they are encoded in divx. make sure you have the lastest codecs from www.divx.com as well. I know its a pain just for T.v.

both suggestions are sound, if you have a crappy video card, or too little memory it will slow things down. The cheaper route is probably memoy. I would say if you have less than 512MB then upgrade that first.

Not trying the be rude, but whenever you post a computer problem, it is a good idea to post your hardware specs. (memory speed, etc.) you get better help that way.
BUT... it sounds like a cry for a memory upgrade.

It could be one of several things that you need:
More memory
A faster CPU
A faster Internet connection: DSL has one that is 3.0 by 768
We have the faster DSL and never have problems.
