Why are we in Iraq anyways? does anyone remember, its been so long. It certainly isn't neccessary. If i were president, i would leave Iraq alone and let it be it's own country, and get the troops out of there. The president says it is neccessary that we stay and bomb them to death, then why doesn't he go in there and fight his own battle. It is unnecessary and an unfair war. We are killing thousands if not millions of innocent men, women, and children, and what did they ever do wrong in life to deserve that.
and you call it(well the government too)THE WAR ON TERRORISM? aren't we there for the oil now? That's what its all about, right?

Personally, I don't think the war on terrorism is being fought in Iraq. That's a completely different war that has attracted terrorists and it's proving to be a great live action training center for them. They are getting the IED thing down pretty well and they are learning what works against us.
If I were President, I would divide Iraq into Kurdish, Sunni, and Shiite regions. I would relocate all American forces into the Kurdish zone to protect them from the Sunnis and the Turks and would use airpower to keep the other sectors from screwing with each other.
I would put a real US military presence in Afghanistan, annhiliate the Taliban...and I mean kill them all.
Then I would staff the CIA and the FBI for international and domestic terrorism abatement programs respectively. Next, I would create a coalition of Anti-Terrorist forces such as the SAS, Mossad, and GSG-9 to work with Interpol to interdict terrorism world-wide.
We are kidding ourselves to think we can send in armored divisions and win the war on terror. We need to think more like our enemy and hit hard and fast.
Today's terrorists don't claim one country so it's hard to punish where they live. We need a force of anti-terrorists that they can't identify with just one country.
Then we need the media left, right or otherwise to adopt a no report attitude. Terrorists want an audience. We have to stop giving them the media coverage they crave.

I support our President because I am an American. That does not mean that I agree with everything he does or says. I do not believe that there is a war on terrorism, I believe that it was an excuse to rid the world of a very dangerous human being. Why the facade is obvious, the truth would not be sufficient to do what we did. Even though we were told something else, we did the right thing to Saddam but how sad that we have to make up lies that large to protect our world. Truth is the one to be watching is North Korea. We fought over on their soil once and My Dad was in that war. Their cultural beliefs and their Nuclear capabilities are a combination that sould sober anyone with intelligence.

The war on terrorism is necessary. The problem is that our side is so interested in doing thing right that it seems like we are petty compared to the terrorists. How can we get men and women to join the military to fight the war when the USA decides to prosecute the military people that committed the rape and murder of those Iraq women. Did the USA forget that the terrorists have kidnapped and beheadded our military and civilians? Cut their Heads Off....geez. Then our side also wants to prosecute the military guards that have been accused of being cruel to the war prisoners; hello, they are prisoners and have been shooting at us.
The war against terrorism is necessary but who are the terrorists and where are they? How can Osama Bin laden NEVER be located by the US but he can deliver a video tape to journalists to be aired world wide. Sorry, I guess I can't help you with your question but I AM proud that your father is doing his best to allow us to sleep at night. Thank you for sacrificing your dad being home so we can be safe. Good Luck, and God Bless your family

Yes the war on terror is necessary. It's a shame it has to be but it is. In that particular area, I think the president is doing things pretty close to what needs doing. My son is over there now and my nephew has been there twice.

War on terrorism is a marketing propaganda of war economies countries like ... you know.
It is not necessary. People just have to stop being greedy about money and power so that wars will slowly diminish... terrorism is bred from hunger and oppression.

War are terrorists?
1. The terrorists are not in Iraq.
2. Saddam had nothing to do with the attack on the World Trade Center in New York, or the attack on the Pentagon.
3. The President? Little Bush junior is trying to finish something his daddy started.
4. Iraq is filthy rich with oil.
5. Iraqis where a lot happier and more alive (pun intended) under the rule of that crazy *** dictator Saddam. (Please, please prove me wrong. You are welcome to email me).
6. Alstaghfir-allah-il-azeem.
7. Well, if I was George W. Bush, I would baptize Osama. Then world peace forever. Thankyou.

I would have just dealt with Al Qaida (sp?) and left it at that. Iraq and Afghanistan had **** to do with 9-11 - most of the hijackers were from Arabia. But we can't **** with the Arabians, now can we?
Despite the fact Americans are getting their heads cut off, (I don't agree with such barbaric means at all) I don't really see the average Iraqis as bad people. After all, we ARE on their turf, are we not? Before you come at me hella foul, let me remind you all that if Al-Qaida rolled up on American soil, you would be fighting them in the streets, too.

I support keeping our country safe. I find it hard to understand why everytime we have a republican president we end up at war and in a deficit. If I were Bush I'd resign and turn it back to Bill Clinton.
