It was a very poor call from Zidane...According to French TV, Materazzi called him a F## Arab Terrorist which totally caused Zidane to lost it....prior to that remark Zidane was calm as a cat......nevertheless....that caused the French dearly, and as the coach said, "It is regretable..I regret it, the team regrets it and for sure he regrets it...."...not the best way to end your amazing career !!!

I have absolutely no fricking idea. I was really cheering for France, but when Zidane head-butted that guy, I stopped. On a spiritual level, Italy deserved to win at that point. Zidane single-handedly destroyed the value of the World Cup for the French team. If they had won, they would not have earned it.

He wasnt thinking, he was just reacting and being arrogant. I dont feel sorry for him. He demoralized his team as the team captain and it cost France the game, bad karma...

i personally think he was under too much pressure and he just lost it. but hey its not the first time he did something stupid like this. he just has to learn how to hold his temper.
