Most people would say old timers like: Babe, Maris, Williams, Jackie, etc...but I like too keep it controversal and say: Pete Rose. Greatest catcher of all time (which is hardest working/knowledgable position in the game) and was very entertaining to watch. He gave his heart and soul to the game when he played it and managed. As far as his gambling problems...just like the "roids" controversy of today...somebody is going to be scapegoated and fried for the league's inablility to control its players, trainers, and managers. He was the guy that the horns fit on the best, because of all his past shananigenz that occured during his playing days and all the bridges he had burned. I can understand why he has been kept out of the HOF for now, but do the man the justice of putting in the Hall before he leaves this earth...the man deserves it.

Josh Beckett because he is a very smart pitcher! I saw him this past weekend playing the White Sox and he was wonderful!! He has such a love for the game and you can tell he takes great pride in winning the game for his team!
