Ok.
1. Sweaty feet makes hurting feet. Disgusting, I know, but you won't blister as badly or at all if you put some type of powder in your shoe to absorb the moisture. Also, try some type of hosiery, whether it be traditional pantyhose, stockings, knee highs, trouser socks, those foot sock things you get at the shoe store to try shoes on with, whatever.
2. Break in your shoes a bit before wearing them for long periods. HOWEVER, if the shoes are not leather, this will not work because they will most likely not have the give that leather has.
3. DO NOT remove calluses from your feet. It's tempting, but they build up on your feet to protect you from your shoes. It is probably one of the biggest mistakes women make.Part of the reason a pair of shoes becomes more comfortable is because those calluses form at the pressure points. Get rid of them, and you are removing the protective barrier your feet have created for themselves.
4. Should you get a blister, immediately wipe the area to dry it. Then, apply a bandage. Wait a minute or so, and carefully put your shoe back on. This will minimize rubbing on that area. Also, you may want to put a bandage on an area that frequently blisters. If there is an area that is just red, sometimes a layer of chapstick helps(I like the kind with menthol).
5. Make sure you can walk in your shoes. If you can't, you are putting unnecessary strain on your feet.
Follow those guidelines and you will be strutting like a pro!

Not all heels have to be uncomfortable! Start with smaller heels and you will get better at walking in them. Find brands which fit your feet well and don't be shy about shelling out a few extra bucks to get the ones that fit you perfectly. With practice you will find shoes that you look amazing in and that don't hurt your feet. It is possible! Make sure you walk around for 5 minutes in shoes you are trying on, if they hurt after that short amount of time, they probably will kill your feet in the long run. Be patient, you will find shoes that work for you, and remember some shoes take a few weeks to break in, so don't discount them immediately.

I usually try to wear them in as much as I can around the house before I wear them out. You can also try using panty hose or tights to keep the pressure and friction off of your feet. There are also clear band aids or even clear tape you can use to cover over ouch spots. Good luck, it can be tough on the feet! BW

You should try those new insoles that Dr. Sholl's makes...there specifically for high-heels. I haven't tried them but Dr. Sholl's makes good, reliable products. I'd give them a try.
