There is legal duty provided for you. Which is lawyers that defend the ones that cannot afford a lawyer. They are there because everyone has to be fairly judged.

There are always lawyers who are just starting out who are trying to improve their reputation and get some trial experience. You'll have to ask around in your area. From your other questions, it sounds as if you really do need counsel since you are facing jail time. Do you have friends or relatives that might loan you the money for a lawyer? I can see how that might be problematic given your history, but if they know it is going to a lawyer and if you can convince them you will pay them back, it will put you in a better position to find a lawyer. The payment plan confuses me since if you lose and go to jail, how will you earn money to make payments?

You might not like the answer I'm about to give but it is truthful. You need to pay for a lawyer and in most cases, you will get what you pay for. Lawyers are professionals with at least 7 years of post-secondary education and have passed a rigorous test designed to weed out those who should not be Attorneys. This education costs a lot of money and to run a law office complete with all the necessities to provide clients with an adequate defense costs money.

If this matter is important to you, you MUST come up with a way to pay for competent counsel. Friends, family members, credit lines, whatever resources you have, make use of them. Borrow and sign credit agreements promising to pay friends or family members back. You have to do the leg work to get the money to pay for legal counsel. If you absolutely do not have the resources to pay for counsel then there are legal aid programs that can ASSIST you with your legal problem but it is no substitute for paid legal counsel.

Most of us "normal" people can NOT afford a lawyer, but I represent a company that makes it affordable for less than $26/m! Check out my website..

I think most attorneys will not charge money until they win in court and take the fee out of the winnings.
