I think it's dumb if they panic and get hysterical, which I've seen. They grow back, get over it, I say. If they're having a fit cuz the manicure was so expensive, then remind them that paying that kind of money for something that can break is just....plain...dumb. If it's a rip clear to the cuticle, it's painful as heck and I then I don't say anything. It's the "omg, my manicure!!" type that bug me so much. I give more leeway to brides, though, it's a special day.

Hearing a woman say "I broke a nail" Is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
When I see another woman with long or french manicured nails, I assume she is completely useless. Might be able to use a mouse, doesn't type, garden, practice self-defense, ride horses... never, ever does anything fun for fear of breaking her precious nails.
And by fun I do not mean "shopping".
Women fought long and hard for respect and equality, people like that makes me realize not all of us deserve it.

No. Girls must care for themself. We are not like guys that can grow nails and put hundreds of dirt into it.

The only time I care is when it breaks down to the quick. That's a tad painful. Otherwise, who gives a crap.

well, sometimes they take it too far, like not doing certain things because they want to preserve them. But hey, they're girls! They like this stuff. Naw, I don't hold it against them.
