The screen swivels open by pressing upward from the bottom. The button on the right looking at is is actually the trackball, and the button on the left is a navigation button. If you have a T-mobile account, just log in at my t-mobile online and select the Sidekick III from the menu at the top where it says "not my phone". That will take you to a technical page about the Sidekick III that gives you FAQs, Tips and Tricks, etc.
