I have only hit the "Report Abuse" button three times, i think. Once was for an obvious commercial advertisement, and twice for gross ethnic slurs.
You know what i think they need? A "Report NON-Abuse" button, which we could use to let the Yahoo gods know who *isn't* a problem, here.
People like you.
Sound like a good idea?

I don't know but any person on here that use this site and are reporting abuse for no reason will be removed from the site. It's in the guidelines. You aren't suppose to report anyone for any reason unless they use bad language or do something out of the guidelines. Using it for any other reason can cause a person to get removed. If someone is reporting you I would let yahoo know about it.

I thought this was funny...someone once asked "to those of you who like to 'report abuse'...do you feel like a child saying "I'm gunna teeellll" lol because its pretty true. But when a user posts the same question over and over again with racist stuff or really sexual stuff I will hit the "report abuse" button. Doesn't seem to do a lot of good though...

Well, I don't if it's for a silly answer, because I like witty answers....
but you get to a point where wit isn't even in the answer and it's just gone to profanity, waist of time, tripe answers. And my time is more precious to me than that. When I answer a someones questions and I'm very choosy about the questions I'm answering, I'm spending a lot of time on my answer. Some of the more entainment only questions that are like yours don't involve a whole lot of thought for me...but I'm still giving you a respectable answer. A lot of mine I'm actually researching through the many of helpful books I have. (Plus I enjoy typing, so that's not a problem.) So when I see some little twit answer "Because you haven't had enough sex yet the question could be about Drawing".....that's mindboggling to me where they get that. If they want to act like an idiot...fine!..They can be turned in for responding like an idiot! (They should have that as a catagory!!) he-he! These people need to learn that some people are to mature to play their games.

I noticed on the report page it says you can report people for incorrect grammar and spelling, but I wouldn't do that! I have only reported a few times and it was when I really felt it needed it (someone asked for rape photos!)

Because they are juvenile and have nothing better to do. Sometimes it is also for revenge from a comment made by the person who is reported for abuse. Pathetic, isn't it?

I agree. Some people can be incredibly petty.
I wonder if disciple(above) has stolen anyone else's pictures of their children to abuse, recently? As for my choice of words, perhaps those who don't agree, should look up the definition of 'Abuse'...
Keep on Rockin' Chick! ;)

i missed something here, but i think it gives some people a sense of power. sad really, if hitting the report abuse button is what it takes for that.

they try to find small things to report so that they can hurt others...a lot of the time that's why they do it. some people might just have different ideas of right and wrong then we do. that could be it too. the reason varies.
