Foods cause acne, they don't stop them. Every person is different. Depending on your diet. There are days you will notice you're breaking out more often than others. You have to pay attention to the foods you eat. Eat less processed foods. Drink juices that are pure, no added sugar like high fructose corn syrup. Soft drinks have high fructose corn syrup, as well as some apple sauces. Apple sauce is great with no sugar added as well as grapes and carrots. They do great for cleansing your digestive system, which is a major culprit in acne development. Cut fried foods, and mayonaise out of your diet, as these are not things you would put on your face. Remember you are what you eat for a reason. If you wouldn't put it on your face, don't eat it. And if you wouldn't lick your face, clean it, at least twice a day. Drink an ounce of water for every two pounds of your body weight every day too. Don't get discouraged if you start breaking out when you initially change your diet. Your body releases the toxins through the skin and is natural for a few weeks.

Drink a lot of water. Also....the best medicine I have found so far (my teen son has acne as well) is Oxy Face and Body Wash. It's in a white bottle with hot pink lettering. It has benzoyil peroxide in it (sp?) and our doctor said that is the only over the counter med that will work. Make sure to wash your face everyday...several times if you have been sweating...and keep your facial hair shaved. Hope this helps. :)

Just stay away (as much as possible) from greasy, sugary, chemically made food. Stick to foods, that are grown like fruits and veggies, then nuts, chicken and fish for protein. I don't know if you wear makeup, but I have to wear a powder foundation on my face all the time that I'm awake, if I don't I break out really bad. My only logic for it is that the powder then clogs my pores instead of the dirt and grime that's in the air. Good Luck!

Acne are the effect of a hormone in our body when we become young. There is nothing that really helps.By eating junk food u encourage acne, try to avoide spicy junk food that has less nutrients and more taste. If u dont sleep properly that also results in acne.Try to sleep 7 hours everyday and always drink a glass of warm milk before sleeping.it helps!

Water will help, although food doesn't directly cause acne. However, try AcneClear, it's a multivitamin that reduces sebum (oil) production and thus acne.

i dont believe any food will actually stop acne ... but alot can cause it... i find that if i eat anything like fries ( deep fried in oil ), chocolate, or like carbonated drinks, that i get bad acne. if i drink lots of water, and get a good amount of sleep, and stay away from these "bad foods" that my face clears up...

Lots of water, and fruits and veggies, ummm I think drinking 100% fruit juices help too. Nothing with lots of grease or fat in it, and sweets only on occasion. So basically it's pretty much like a diet according to the food pyramid. Good luck clearin' it up!

Unless you are allergic to certain foods, eating junk food doesn't lead to the formation of pimples. But overeating certain foods, especially heating foods like chocolates and mangoes, can lead to an overnight zit congregation.
