6x^2-x-15= (3x-5)(2x+3)

6x^2 - x - 15

trial and error:

(3x - 5)(2x + 3 )

6x^2 -10x + 9x - 15
6x^2 - x - 15

It is a quadratic equation which means it will factor down into to binomials...(3x-5)(2x+3)...when in doubt when finished just FOIL it back out to see if you get what you started with.

you should get two difference answers, its a quadriatic equation.

I get (2x+3) (3x-5).
