An air-cooled internal combustion engine generates a lot of heat. Since biker girls spend so much time sitting on their bikes idling in traffic, the heat of their bikes' engines can get pretty brutal. This is why they are usually so sweaty looking.
It doesn't explain the mullets, or the tats, or the third chins, but it does go a way towards explaining that "aroma."

However, i have yet to come across biker girls who look chic like in the movies. Real life ones are normally not that great looking.

It was 91 degrees on the bike run I went on yesterday. 1500 riders and all of us were pretty hot.
