This is not the conservative "safeway" route, but Recruit College, Independent Minor Leaguers, and even High School Players before the MLB does. Get some prospects as clientel before they get noticed. This takes a large amount of baseball knowledge, travel, and "balls", because it is like building your own business. And yes there is already a lot of competetion sitting in some of those dingy bleachers trying to pick up AAU players every summer across the country.

Most sports have a limited list of recommended agents. These agents would have had to prove their reliability and integrity by working their way up with existing agents. You can expect the demand for jobs with people like Leigh Steinberg or Scott Boras to be highly competitive. Good luck.

I love it! Great idea, and wish I had the degree to do what you want to do....

You need to make friends with a friend....or actually be-friend a player.

I know a bunch of Detroit Tiger guys (most of them retired)...

You're going to have to start networking...and if that means going to the baseball games in your hometown, then do it.

You better know you're baseball too.....compare other players and their salaries....you're going to have a great time! Good luck!

Another great way would be to start your own practice website (I'm a web developer by the way) and offer your services online or at least tell people about your services.

It's best to hit up and coming high school athletes that are about to go pro....

You have to recruit just like the pro scouts do for talent!

Let me know if you need a partner! :)
