Does the screen turn purple or something and give you more points? Im dying to know but doubt that I will ever get there, lol.

Nothing happens, the screen doesn't change, and you don't get any prize. Sure Yahoo! Answers has promised one, but they have yet to deliver, (except with a background image) and with the amount of people on this board whatever they come up with will be cheap.
The only good thing about a level increase is that you can do more things (ask questions, answer questions, and vote on them).
Here is a good hint to help you advance quicker; try and be chosen as the best answer. So far you only have done that once. Just click on the person's avatar and you can find out all sorts of things about them.

purple??!! LOL... i wish. The only change is that instead of the top left screen saying "level 1" it's gonna say "level 2" ....=) u only need about 350 points to get there.

Among other things, you can answer and vote more times per day. The chart on the page I used lays out how the levels work.

Yeah, you get to ask a limit of 10 questions and get closer to obtaining level 3. Nothing special unless you like to ask a lot of questions!:) lol

I got there after 3 days, you should see it, confetti flies everywhere, there are baloons and stuff, and then there's a huge party and "Party All the Time-Eddie Murphy" plays in the background then you ride a roller coaster and you get $10,000... I think It's to little, don't you think?

I am still trying to get there.

ull get there...and all that happens is ur allowed to answer 40 questions instead of 20 per day (click on ur level for more details)
