I heard that Eleanor Roosevelt (at one time) was a lesbian. Is that true?

That just sounds like being "curious" about same sex interaction.

I didn't know her and I feel as though most credible references wont really go into that part of her life (being that she WAS married to a US president).

She did have a female secretary that she was close to, but I doubt that meant she was a lesbian. I think the rumor started because she took over a lot of the public duties her president husband normally would have done. Also, she was a strong woman assuming a role women just didn't do at that time.

She was a remarkably strong assertive woman who took over many of her husbands duties when he died. Why are people so concerned with others personal business. It's there business and their preference just as yours is. I personally don't know and don't care...she was a wonderful woman and that's what matters.
