well, in HS I would have found it hot..I'm 27 and do find it a little trashy now.
I don't think it has anything to do with him being gay or straight.
And I have heard of guys with their tongue pierced...I just thought that fad was over.
But if you like him, I don't think it should matter either way. Just make sure the piercing isn't a sign that he gets around. They get piercings to use them.

I know lots of guys with pierced tongues. A piercing has no reflection on ones sexuality, nor are they gender specific (well in some religons, only women get their noses pierced lol.) But what I think about guys with tongue piercings would depend on how I thought about them before they got the piercings.

My opinion of someone wouldnt change simply because they got a new accessory (purse, shoes etc, ) which is basically what a piercing is. I am considered by most to be fairly straight edged, but I have several piercings. Does that change who I am? No, just makes me more sparkly.

I've seen (and been friends with) plenty of guys with tongue rings, but this was mostly back in the 90s. I think guys who get their tongues pierced now are just trying too hard. Piercing was a great fad back in the mid to late 90s, but it's just getting tired, worn out and boring these days. A few piercings in the ears, maybe a tiny nose screw or a tasteful belly button ring on a girl who has the stomach to carry it, but a guy, in this day and age just now getting a tongue ring is definitely trying too hard. maybe even to make up for something else he's lacking? ;)

It might still be a little sexy for a girl if she's had it for a few years, but personally I think it's too much for a guy. Maybe he got it because he thought it would impress you? If so you can try to steer him toward things that really would impress you - a nice dinner at a great restaurant, a nice piece of jewelry, a special day planned just for the two of you?

I wouldn't rule him out as a dating possibility because of his tongue ring, but I certainly wouldn't focus on it or comment on it too much when you guys are together. Try to let him know that there are other things that make him attractive, and that he doesn't need to "add" things to make himself more attractive, that to you he's hot just the way he is!

Then if you actually start dating, tell him that it hurts you when he kisses you with it in. If you really don't like it, that should get him to take it out!

okay... i have never had a friend (guy or girl) that got his/her tongue pierced. i don't really mind since i'm not the one wearing that kind of get-up but personally, i don't want to have my tongue pierced. i kind of like what God gave me so i'm not changing anything but for some people, hey, whatever tickles their pickles. :)

i usually think of rock bands and rockers when i find out that a guy has his tongue pierced (or any other part of his body normally shouldn't have piercings). i guess, that's the stereotype that society has labeled people, so i can't help it. anyway, if this guy friend of yours can carry this very well, i think that would make the difference between freaky and sexy. :)

Hmmm..interesting answers...My son has a tongue piercing and hate to tell you he's NOT trashy...You'd think twice before saying that until you find out what the person is really like...Might be the first and last millionaire you'll ever see with attitudes like that..Geez

Ohhh and he's completely straight!

i hit upon the finest issues arise once you play 20 questions.. start up off sluggish with some impartial questions (fav shows, etc) then get into the great things (what he seems for in a woman). Get to carry close him first and see when you're nicely ideal earlier you splur out that you want him. also in case you ahve mutual acquaintances, you adult males might want to all dangle out and perchance being with people would make you a lot less frightened.

According to people I know who have pierced tongues, there is one reason for a straight man to get a tongue pierced and that reason is to "please" a woman with it. I believe this reason to be anti-thetical to love. It is sad that some men are so oversexed that they need to turn their hypersexuality into fashion.

Also, if someone with a pierced tongue has never heard of this reason before then they are not "cool" enough to have a pierced tongue because they are not "fashion aware." We need to have street smarts, be fashion aware, and aware of the scandal we are presenting to the world, if we are going to attempt to engage in extreme fashions that involve bodily damage to our body parts, if not our souls.

If he likes it what difference does it make if he is straight or gay? I know more guys with tounge piercings than girls here in missouri.

There are lots of guys with their tongues pierced, both straight and not. If it's done right, and if it works with the rest of the guy's look, it can be extremely sexy.

I've seen and heard of many men that have their tongues peirced. Why did they make a French Tickler tongue ring? I think I know why.

Personally, I agree that tongue peircings are pretty trashy.
