If I smoke in a restaurant Im breaking the law, but Im not deviant, just inconsiderate.

No law should be passed which does not withstand this standard.
"If doing it hurts another, dont do it."

"Deviant" usually means "outside the norm" or "to the exclusion of normalcy". When we have 1.4 million people in US prisons, a large number of whom are there for doing nothing more than smoking weed, which harms NO ONE, what's considered deviant? The weed smokers or the idiots who threw them into prison with hardened criminals?

I would suppose that breaking the law is, by definition, deviant.
