in your opinion, what team played the best through the whole 2006 FIFA world cup tornament and why?

and i mean best as in fair play, sportsmanship, good stratergies and all that. Dont say Italy just because they won unless you have a reason?

Germany. They showed great teamwork, not too many fouls and showed great respect and sportsmanship to those teams that lost and had to go home by cutting their own celebrations short. Germany had a great party going that was similar to Brazil's carnival and ended the party early in the night because they did not want to offend the team and their fans. That is great respect and sportsmanship and not many teams showed that.

They also have some really great players and have shown awesome teamwork. In the end they have won the hearts of millions and two awards, best young player and golden shoe.

Germany did....they worked very well together...had great assists...no selfishness and overall played like they wanted the cup. I can't say that about many teams..some of them looked like they were there cause they had to be.

I think Germany becuase they played the most exciting games & for me, were the most fun to watch. You could see they all became close friends & to mee it seemed they suffered more than any other team when they lost.
