I went to the Merrillville, Indiana, AfterHours Formalware 4 tuxedos 4 an Aug. 07 wedding.
AfterHours Formalware advertised Tux for $49. I asked the mgr. if that included everything, she said it did.
My husband’s $49 tux cost $89 & the groom’s FREE tux cost $69!
Talk about ‘BAIT AND SWITCH’ scam! Stupidly we went ahead & paid $20 deposit because mgr. assured us the deposit WAS refundable &they would price-match any competitor. She lied again
Stewing, we looked 4 a better place 2 serve us & found one. When I went in to the AfterHours Formalware to get my refund the mgr wouldn't give my $ back & said it was non-refundable. The wedding is next year, there can't possibly be a restocking fee.The back of our receipts states By SIGNING HERE, THE CUSTOMER HAS READ AND AGREES TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS NOTED ABOVE.
I never signed anything.AfterHours Formalware is stealing my money! There is no other way to look at this. in my opinion, this company is extremely underhanded!
Beware !

If you do not check a company before entering into a transaction, you could lose your money, time and credibility. Some widely used resources are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center ( www.fraud.org) These days, you can easily find out more about a company using the internet in a few minutes. From a company's website, you can details about its ownership, how old the company really is and feedback from the company's customers.

I completely agree!! We just got married in May, and I was not happy with the service and the prices at both After Hours AND David's Bridal. I love how they want you to buy a $900 gown AND pay $10 for the cheap plastic garment bag. These places nickel and dime you consistantly. I will never go back to either

You are not by yourself in the great After-Hours formal ware rip off.
Do not give up, my husband swears they gave me back my money to get me to go away. We ordered tuxes for daughters wedding & they quit making the vest color available. I only agreed to that color not whatever they had available. i got a full refund. OK I did threaten to call my friend in the editing dept of newspaper. Whatever works!
