I served myself a home cooked meal today (Stuffed Bell Pepper) and I thanked myself because it's far better than Subway or Mickey D's!
Tomorrow I'll have lasagnia!

...I was pretty unappreciative, come to think of it... never said thank you. :-)
Does suck when cooking for others and no one says anything, or worse makes rude comments or jokes... even if it is totally a joke. Cooking and cleaning up actually takes work.

I so wish someone had cooked me a home-cooked meal, though I did for my daughter and she did say thank you which was very sweet.

My mom did, i dont live with her, but i go eat dinner at her house every day kuz im pregnant and i don't cook....lol
I probably should've thanked her though, I really appreciate it, otherwise I would just eat Lucky Charms all day!
BTW, It was a nice steak, cottage cheese, and cooked beets!

no....i served my family and my friend a home cooked meal today, and my husband and my friend said thank you. my kids just ate, and they ate very heartily, so that was thank you enough for me. being my two are picky eaters, so when they ate really good today, i was very happy.

I wish. I am always grateful for those for they are very far and few between. I think it was Geddy Lee that said "cooking is the greatest show of affection you can show your loved ones"

i'm the resident cook around here, and i don't remember a thank you today, but i have been a real jerk this weekend. usually i get a thank you though.

I served myself a homecooked meal today.. does that count?? and of course I thanked myself...... with a yummy bowl of ice cream! (and yes, my kids thank me for every meal they get.. we call it good manners)
