Did you burn a DVD-R or a DVD-RW? Many older players will not read -RW but will read -R. If you have an older player, it may not read either, but I have an old Magnavox (Philips) DVD player (one of the first models produced) and it will play DVD+R, but not DVD-R or any RW. You might also try a different brand of DVD record-once media.

Your player probably can't read burned cds, or your burning program doesn't format for audio. Check both.

Also...you have to go through a process called "finalizing" the disc. If you haven't done this you can stick the disc back in your burner and do the process.

Not all players will play burns...sounds like yours is one that won't. Bummer.
