People have, and seemingly always have had, the tragic notion that complaining about, demeaning, denagrating, and defaming anything or anybody about whom any contriversy exists makes them appear well informed.

It is human nature.
However, the hatred is in every direction and not specific to one group or another.
By the way... Although 9/11 had some impact on the entire world, you have to remember it is something that directly effected Americans. So, remember to remember 7/7 (London Bombings) and dozens of other days in modern history as being possible turning points in "human nature"

No. Since 9/11 everyone has become more paranoid and become more segregated than ever. No one trusts anyone anymore and you can thank the Big GWB.

I think 9/11 brought more hate among us, when we really should be standing by one another at this time. Americans (including myself) are really ****** up people.

Humans do not change overnight. Evolution has taken billions of years. A few thousand people dead because of hate (continued deaths in Iraq, Africa, etc.) will not change in a few years, or thousands of years. It will probably take a billion.

people can be anonymous here and spout things they would never say out loud. Whether they believe them or not, its just venting. Also, many are just kids that have parents that express those views as well..

many peolpe feel comfortable airing their opinions here due to relative anonymity - braver because we cannot see their faces - maybe it helps because they learn from response to their commentary w/o the risk of assault/ other real-world reponses..
