In view of his disgraceful action he should get a chance to take a stand and salvage his reputation if not reverse the public opinion. He deserves an opportunity due to his position and world wide following across all the people.

be a real man by apologizing not only to Marco Materazzi whom he head-butted on the chest but also to all soccer fans for his terrible behavior and bad example to the youth. whatever Materazzi might have said to provoke him, he should not have acted the way he did. peace, love and unity. cheers!

He should explain himself on TV. We all don't know what happened exactly. I really would like to know what Materazzi told Zidane before the incident

He should have a TV conference and apologize to the public by saying he was tired and lost control of his better judgment. He should say something about discouraging violence and preach about good sportsmanship.

I think he should really tell people why he did it. what made him snap? if it was a racial comment or whatever, i can some what understand why he would do it. yes he is a soccer player but he's a human being. sure he can say sorry, but he probably wouldn't mean it. i doubt his true fans really care about what he did, they probably think its cool.
