A very big bang and a new universe was born--our Universe, is how ours was born. How our universe was born was by another universe touching ours! This turned the conventional big bang theory on its head! Time and space all existed before the big bang. There had to be space for the so-called big bang and time for it to happen, whether or not it happened. Could another universe collide with another in the years into the future?

Yes.

Still something should have happened for all this to form. Maybe an invisble universe hit another invisble universe because they couldn't see each other and there was a big bang and everything came into being.

I don't think so. The dimensions inside a universe don't have anything to do with whatever might be outside it. Our directions in space always point into more of our space, never to anywhere else. The same would be true for another universe. And there's no reason to suppose that the two universes both inhabit a third region with dimensions defined so that they could run into each other. Come to think of it, our universe, seen from the outside, might exist for no longer than the Planck time: blink and you'd miss it.

Certain parts of string theory suggest that this actually does happen and can explain the big bang. Check out the Brian Greene's Elegant Universe if you want a better answer.

Hi,

They say that can happen. Indeed the big bang is not a one time special event they say. But it happened in the past and may happen more times in future.

There is only one universe. All things reside in that universe. Therefore, one universe colliding with another cannot happen since there is only one. I think you are mixing up the words universe and galaxy...

So now as you like, possibly new universes. What are you saying? Do you know that this is the only universe?

Wouldn't know what would happen! But with only one universe now, we don't have much to worry.
