Insects can not stand the smell of Moth Balls. Also there is a poison called Boric Acid it kills insects. Try Pure peppermint oil which can be found at your health food store. Soak it on cotton balls and place them where the nasty critters hide. Do same with the Moth Balls. Any place that sells insect repellent should have boric acid.

www.foodandfunfacts.com and Jerry Baker.com sells books and tell you natural remedies you can use.

Try the Boric Acid first and the Moth Balls which consist of Campor. I hope this works for you!! Try an exterminator if it does not.

Hang the bug strips down there. Lot of them. The strips are poison to the spiders and bugs. But if you repel them from the basement perhaps they will come up where you live.

That's quite easy! Just put up a sign that says:

"No Spiders or Bugs Allowed!"

Your best bet would be to get an exterminator, But the key is to ask if he/she could leave some glue traps ( EXTREMELY STICKY PADS) you can strategically place around the cellar it attracts them and then they die... It should work I mean my dad is pest control so I hope I would know the answer.

Ya wanna know something crazy? Try MOTHBALLS. They do work ! Unless you frequent this area alot then I would use caution if I did use them.
