Well looking online for your BMI (body mass Index) You are normal. Meaning you are your correct weight for your height. I put you down for 5 foot 2 inches since you are still growing. Check out the internet for BMI calculations. And also, You should always talk to your Dr about your concerns. I have a friend who also felt like she was "fat" when she was in the 8th grade but in fact she was underweight. She almost died. Take care of yourself, but do it the right way.

First start by truly observing the problem. Look in the mirror (painful as that is for many of us) and actually point to the parts you think are fat.

Then ask why are they fat? Who says? Me? The person I like? my Mom and Dad?

Then Observe yourself as a whole. Throw away the numbers, pounds, percentages, and heights. just look, and don't think about anything at all while you're looking. No judgement. no standard. Just look. Is this, unlabeled, un-judged form still unpleasant?

In 8th grade, and throughout high-school one no one: no matter the evidence to the contrary, knows who they really are. Your best friend becomes your worst enemy, and so on. But one sure-fire way to survive this drama, is to not make drama. See life will try and make drama for your mind: give you problems so they can be solved. But if you make no drama, you simply see things as they are. In reality all things are. <-- no additive here: cause they just are.

The truth is you are as fat as you think you are. The doctors can tell you what is healthy, and if you want to diet and strive for that, perhaps you should. But to be honest they make unrealistic suggestions in my opinion. In terms of you being unsightly (the ugly that is typically associated with being fat) This is a matter of your own image of yourself. If your are at peace with yourself, that is all you need. Leave the standards the other people use as they are. But get yourself to a point where YOU like you. (no eating disorders please ;0) when you are at peace, there is no drama, and your are as right as you should be. Follow God and you will be free.

ok, firstly you need to look at your body mass index (BMI) which you can research on the 'net.
this will give you a guide as to what you should weigh given your height, sex and age.
secondly, if the people around you are telling you that you are not fat, then why aren't you believing them?
there is just way too much pressure on people, especially females, to attain a body shape that is just not healthy.
also, the majority of the women in magazines have had serious air-brushing done on their bodies so their representation is FALSE, and you should not feel pressured to look like them.
I suggest you do the BMI, then relax and enjoy the life you have been given. Best wishes.

Stop idolizing the airbrushed models in magazines and don't try to be like Hilary and Lindsay. Guys don't respect or want anorexic looking twigs. Your height and weight are in good proportion. If anything, you could stand to gain a few pounds.

I think that you ought to start attending a good local Christian church so that you can hear the gospel message and come into the family of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Then you will see yourself as God sees you and not through the eyes of the people who put skinny models on the covers of magazines at the check out counters at the supermarket. You are precious in His sight and He loves you!

You are definitely not fat, but what your doing is not healthy. You should talk with your parents and your school counselor about this. You are too young to be dieting all the time, you're young and your growing you need to be getting good nutrition, not dieting.

Please listen to your friends, you shouldn't be dieting, you need to talk to your parents about this, please.
