These parents go on vacation but are taken by aliens. The wife is to marry the ruler (?) and the husband goes to save her. They escape and come back home to the kids.
There is one part I remember well however. The wife is being guarded by this fuzzy bearlike creature. It's nice. She helps it get with this other female fuuzzy bearlike creature. So I believe it lets her go.

I believe it's "Mom and Dad Save the World".
In it the Nelson's get picked up and the wife is supposed to marry a guy named Tod, the ruler.
