We are not a police state, for you can any country and see that we are more free then all of them, but we are being primed for this to change.
This can get deep. I would have to say yes. Nowadays, immorality is preached , while everything moral is stuffed into a chest. That is one of the first steps into making the people dependent on their leaders. The more immoral, the more your intelligence slips. Then you can't think for yourself. Next, government assistance is out of control. The poor all want handouts and have forgotten how to get ahead. They are know dependent on the government to provide for them. Next, you have the middle class being pushed down into the lower class through taxing and funding for education and so forth. The only thing keeping us a legitimate democracy is that the middle class hasn't died out yet. One more point, big business and the government are allied in looking out for both best interests and if you care to study Hitler, you will find some striking similarities.
This is a bi-partisan push and you cannot blame either side, the left is allied with China and the other communists and the right is allied with big business, who are having a good time in the middle east. Wise up and do your own learning! Study the classics and history from many different publishers, for even those are corrupt by the writers and translators.
