Mine of course is Final Fantasy 7 because Sephiroth is the coolest villan of all time. Vincent is a great character too. So, full of mystery and an arsenal of great guns.

I agree with you about Seven. Sephiroth is the undisbuted King of the Bad *** Villians *but the poor guy was misunderstood*.

And whay can I say about Vincent *My Lord and God and sole reason for breathing* Valentine aka the King of Angst? He's beautiful, poetic, spiritual and just so damn deep *how could Lucretia choose that FREAK over him?!?!*

Tactics was by far the best Final fantasy in my opinion. Even with it's horrid translation. The story was-without a doubt- right up there with my favorite game story of all time, Metal gear Solid 3. The game actually made you care for the characters, the story drew you in almost instantly, the battles were epic, and when i say epic, I MEAN epic, some of them can take almost 2 hours to complete. Some of the boss fights are cheesy, but the final boss and ending make up for it all.
The job system was executed extremely well, and the game was just plain fun (and long...wow, took me almost 70 hours my first time through) and for all the Final fantasy VII fanboys-Cloud is a secret character in it!

absolutly without a shadow of a doubt. finaly fantasy 3 for the snes. this game made what most rpgs are now days based upon. unless you wanna talk about chrono trigger. but yeah final fantasy 3 is the best. they used a much better graphic style and the control on it was sweet for being on a 16 bit machine.

Tactics.

The style was so different from other FF games, not to mention the flawless execution of the job system. And the story was... simply put, that was incredible. Gamespot's, "If Shakespeare wrote a game," statement was accurate.

I still play that game, almost ten years later.

Call me crazy, but I didn't like seven that much.I thought 9 was just plain fun. Fun characters, spells, and the card game was good enough for a game of it's own.

I haveto agree with you final fantasy 7 is the bomb dawg. No other fantasy game can ever amount to it no matter how crappy the game play looks. how ever on the bright side of it the fmv kick major butt.

Crystal Chronicles because it's the only non turn based version that I know of. Though it IS pretty repetitive...

VII. The best storyline and characters, also amazing graphics and gameplay for it's time.
