Very good. Depending on the scale at least. Most schools in the U.S. go by a 4.0 scale, with 4.0 being straight As or A+s. So a 3.74 is just about straight As or A+s and maybe an A- or two. I have a 3.74 too actually. It's enough to make Dean's Honors List and to apply for additional scholarships and honors programs.
Typical grading scale is as follows (but it may vary depending on the school:
A+ = 4.0
A = 4.00
A- = 3.67
B+ = 3.33
B = 3.00
B- = 2.67
C+ = 2.33
C = 2.00
C- = 1.67
D+ = 1.33
D = 1.0
D- and below = 0.66 and below
Just take all the grades from all your classes and add them together, then divide by the number of classes you took to get the GPA. In college, the GPA is cummulative (keeps getting added and divided), but in High School, it is different each year and it stays the same on your record.
For example. If you got A, A, A-, B+. You would have 4.0 + 4.0 + 3.63 + 3.33 all divided by 4. Which is 3.74. And each semester would keep going into that average to make a "cummulative GPA" which goes on your transcripts if you want to transfer or go on to graduate school. So if you do a little bad one semester, it won't keep you down, it will get pulled back up next time you have a good semester.
Keep up the good work!! Look around for additional scholarships and honors societies.

I'm not sure what you want to know. A Grade Point Average of 3.74 is about an A-. It's excellent! Your GPA is the average of all your final grades in every class in your course of study(high school, college, etc.)

3.74 is a very good GPA. The actual breakdown, though, I cannot give you unless you tell me the number of credit hours you have taken, what your grades where, and then I could tell you the quality points. That is an exceptional GPA, though. Great Job! (without all of that info, all I can tell you is that it is roughly a high A average)

On the standard 4.0 scale, that's just above an A- average. An A is weighted 4.0 points; an A- is 3.7 points; a B+ is 3.3 points; a B is 3.0 points, and so on. Multiply the number of points by the number the credits the class was worth, sum the results, then divide by the total number of credits you've taken thus far... and you'll get your GPA (grade point average).
