I love how everyone over estimates the west. If we want to talk about overrated teams, that would be Tennessee. Every year they are ranked in the preseason and then they tank. Even though Cal had a tough season (due to injury), they started ranked #22, and ended #25, at least they are consistant. I can't wait for the Bears to give the Vols a wakeup call. The Bears will win 28-24!

Neyland Stadium is a tough place to play. Tennessee will not be as bad as they were last season. Cal is highly overrated, they are not going to be as good as many pundits think this coming season. It will be a close game but the home field advantage of rocky top will get it done. Tennesse 17-14

Tennessee will win a close one because Cal is rebuilding their offense around a new QB. Tennessee will be shoring up their front seven, but their secondary is virtually intact and FAST! these guys have the potential to dominate defensively this year. Cal's defense will be good against the pass, so with tennessee having a better ground game (but not deep) I think they'll win at home by 3-6 points.

Look for the speed of the Tennessee defense to be to much for Cal's offense. I really don't think Marshawn Lynch will go over 80 yards, and they will loose by 2 scores as a result of it. Their passing game will keep it competitive, but it just wont be enough. The Vols had a terrible 05 season, but that was just a one year thing. Their back !!
And I'm not a Tennessee fan... I just love college football
