From a pragmatic standpoint, Neither liberals or we conservatives need fear mortal danger from each other. There needs to be a balance- both must be heard and considered. What we both must be worried about is Radical Muslims who are intent on destroying every one except Radical Muslims who rule the earth totally with an iron fist! All other problems will work out.

I believe Jesus, ya know the dude who said to "turn the other cheek", would say that some liberal ideals are not christian-like and all people have the right to think whatever they want to- which, of course, includes you and me and all the conservatives and liberals out there. If you don't like it, move to a different country- I heard Antarctica has a lovely view.

I'm sure Jesus would attempt to help conservatives see the error of their ways, but even He would be sorely tested by trying to get through them.

As for me, I'm all for having them put their money where their ideology is. If they're so intent on preserving the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution, for example, I say let them! The 2nd Amendment says that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed BECAUSE THE COUNTRY NEEDS A WELL-ORGANIZED MILITIA. Wonderful. Round up all the gun-toting conservatives and ship them all off to Iraq. If they want to own guns, the are part of the militia by default.

Easy solution. The conservatives get shipped off to fight the government's wars, and the rest of us can put the country to rights while they're gone. Works for me!

The balance of government works because we have a two party system. If we didn't have someone to constantly check and recheck what the other was doing we wouldn't have the stable government we have now. We just have to deal with the complaining when either party is in power. My gut reaction? Deport them all to the Moon.....
