UNFORUNATLY THEY HAVE AS MANY RIGHTS AS ANYONE ELSE IN THE LEGAL SYSTEM. UNFORTUNATELY THEY ARE USUALLY "REHABILITATED" AND PUT BACK OUT INTO SOCIETY. THEY ARE 90% REPEAT OFFENDERS. PERSONALLY I THINK THEY SHOULD THEY SHOULD GET LIFE....SOMEWHERE. THEY HAVE A MENTAL ILLNESS IN MOST CASES, HOWEVER WACKED OUT IT IS....AND BEKIEVE ME I AM NOT MAKING EXCUSES, THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS IN SOCIETY AROUND CHILDREN. IF THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE THEIR LIVED SPARED, WE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROTECT THE LIVES OF OUR UNSUSPECTING LOVED LITTLE ONES AND NOT HAVE THEM OUT IN THE GENERAL POPULATION.

As much as I detest people who do this they are sinners just the same as we all are and they violate the laws of the land like many others do. That said they have the same rights to a fair trial, just the same as the rest of us. They also have a right to be considered innocent until proved guilty and a right to representation. If though a child molestor is guilty then I don't think they need any pity or any reduction in sentence. Problem is that people are accused by kids sometimes out of retaliation or because they want to get someone in trouble. I would never want a person that is actually innocent to get less than a fair trial because we have an innate prejudice against this vial crime. If though a person is proven or caught in the act then do everything possible to make sure they don't get the chance to do it again and above all do not early release this person.
As for me, if it was my grandchild or child and I actually caught this person doing it then I'd be the one that would be interested in a fair trial and my rights because one of us would need a lawyer and the other one last rights.

Even if what they have done is against the law, they should still be entitled to the same rights as others. They are human just as the rest of us, they are just a little different in the head. When a child molestor is arrested and what not, they are entitled to the exact rights that the rest of us are. I believe they are in need of some help in getting their mind set straight, but they are still citizens and therefore should not have any restrictions to their rights whatsoever.

I believe pedophiles should not have rights. Even though they did something wrong and maybe asked for forgiveness, that doesn't mean that they will go out and do those things again. They should be able to walk the streets but have some kind of device on them so that the police will find out what they are doing at all times.

Convicted child molesters, pedophiles and the like should have none!!!!
Our children today do not enjoy the freedom that we did in our time....freedom to wander the neighbourhood with our friends, play on the street without our parents worrying that we would be abducted. It's a shame that we have to know where are children are every minute of the day because these jerks roam the streets.

pedophiles when arrested should be put in a cell with five other guys that have kids at home tht miss there kids and wish they could be with them. Shut the door lock it tight and let those guys take care of the sick f***. by there own justice. Or take all the pedafiles put em in one room. light the room on fire and let God sort em out. Pedafiles should not have any right swhat so ever once they hurt a child they should be casorated.

If you have a beef with anyone in this country over RIGHTS, your rights should be taken from you. All Americans are afforded the same rights as all other Americans. A convicted pedophile will be judged and sentenced as the judge sees fit. It is not for you or anyone else to say who is permitted rights in the USA. I fought for this principle, I will fight for it again, but no-one has the right to take any rights from any AMERICAN.

This was a big question at the office a few months ago. We were looking at offender data in the state of De and found some of our patients on it, two of which had been in the office recently. One offender needed to have his willy nailed to a tree while being driven away in a car. He had molested a three year old. The other was nineteen and had sex with a sixteen year old who he later married. He was still listed as a child molester though. I think that's kind of sick too.

Well, child molesters are not always pedophiles. Some have suffered abuse themselves and need psychiatric help. Pedophiles have a sexual deviation that they can't control, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have rights. As long as murderers have rights, so should everyone else.

yes, there rights available to them but they forfeit MANY of the freedom privileges a US citizen has when they violate a child
What horrifies most people is not when a pedophile gets a right, it's when one requests or gains a liberal dose of privileges when they have shown (for whatever reasons...biological, psychological, genetic)...that he or she cannot operate safely within the freedoms granted to most citizens
And I am ok if every pedophile loses "some rights" if it protects more children from harm.

Depends. If your talking about a 60 year old man messing with a 12 year old girl, shoot him. However, I think an 18 year old kid with a 16 year old girlfriend should have rights. There should be limits on what is a "child molester" and what isn't.
