I would say 8-9 dollars. Depend on what you are expecting from her.

It depends on two things.
1) Location - live in NYC, where the average is between 8 and twelve dollars an hour for a teenager around 17 or 18. My cousins though, live in the midwest and are happy with 5-6 dollars an hour. Check the prices from around your area. See what other parents in your area are paying. You should definitely at least give the minimum wage in your state.
2) age and experience of the sitter. THe older/more experienced the sitter, the more they should get. When I started babysitting, I was 13 years old and was very happy with 5$ an hour. Now, I'm 21 years old (and babysit to help pay for college) and usually get between 10 and 15 dollars an hour.

This really depends on where you live...I did a search a few weeks back and I found that some people complain about paying $3 an hour and some were willing to pay up to $18 an hour!!! Do a search for wages for babysitters in _(state)_ and see what you find..... Good luck!!

I don't think babysitters should be paid by the hour. I have babysat alot. If the parents are going out for a few hours I would just say 15 dollars. If its a weekly thing ... appox $75 dollars. At a real daycare ( IE -- Childcare Network ) it would be $125 dollars a week.

Depending on how long you will be gone, and what the babysitter is expected to do. Most people pay minimum wadge for a babysitter.

i try to trade services with people I know for babysitting. like my cousin may ned food or maybe a ride or a babysitter too. I would find frre family members first but if can't I would say 2.00-8.00 / hrdepending on what they must do and where you are. Also can they eat your food or drink your drinks or do they have to bring there own for themselves. Are you supplying the food for your kids? Are they going to sleep at night or do it in the day? maybe they can do it for s set fee for the week even better.

I would say it depends on the part of the country you're from, how long she will be watching your baby, and what experience she has.
If it's a young adult who will be watching your child full time, with minimal experience and you live in say, the South, I would say about $225 a week.
