Florida is a great state. I've lived here for almost 22 years and would never leave. Beaches, night life (in the bigger cities), people, and what the first person said about FL.

Don't come to Delaware, that's for sure! In Wilmington, the state's largest city, the crime rate is horrible. In the southern two-thirds of DE, cops give out tickets like condoms to a prostitute. Plus, the state doesn't even allow fireworks on our nation's birthday! How unpatriotic!

I have 2 answers. First is Florida because of alot to do, good weather, scenic beauty, and diversity of culture in the bigger cities. Second is Georgia because it is very beautiful with lots to do, relatively cheap, and has a varied landscape (mountains in the northern part and beaches in the southern part). In the northern part you get 4 seasons, while the southern part is mostly warm like Florida.

New Hampshire. Live free or die! You can live just across the border with Massachusetts and commute to Boston, but have a lower cost of living.

florida. no state income tax, sales tax is low, property taxes are low, the state is very resident friendly. home prices are high in south florida but you can move farther north and still get a deal. plus the weather and beaches are great. don't let the hurricanes scare you; they are in reality few and far between.

Maryland. Especially the southern Maryland peninsula.
For enough north to avoid the hurricanes and far enough south to stay warm most of the year.

I adore Connecticut. It is a great place. Kinda cold, but it has many museums and has beautiful homes with great antique charm. I also love New York, it has lots of cultural opportunities and is ver city. However, it is kinda messy and dirty.
