Best: our first full-swap. Jealousy and worries just evaporated and we had a blast!
Worst: our first ever meet & greet with another couple. We made SO many mistakes...like going to their house...for dinner...with their kids home. Instead of, say, a nice non-committal drink or coffee somewhere neutral. To boot, we travelled a grand total of NINE HOURS (to, from and dropping off/picking up kids at the babysitter's). And, this being our first couple that we had ever talked to in person, we didn't even know what to look for...or what to avoid!...in their profile. In retrospect, I'm sure that we would now be able to see before we ever exchanged a single email with them that the guy had no respect for his wife, and she was just there to glean what good she could from this mess of a relationship. In her own words: "Well if he's going to do it anyway [cheat], the least he can do is bring it home." It was pretty sad. For them, it was just cheating with permission.
Needless to say, that was quite a crash course in what NOT to do NEXT time. But it certainly generated a lot of good conversation. :)
