Yes the moth ball method will help , also amonia on and old sock etc will also work. When we bought our current property it had satr idle and we had skunks everywhere about 10+.we used both methods mentioned. IF YOU HAVE OUTSIDE ANIMALS MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT INGEST THE MOTH BALLS!!

in the meantime remove their food source. if feeding your cat, dog outside remove the food.

Most likely she has been around for a while and is use to you. she will take the babies and move on shortly. i just had one in my horse barn with 7 babies and in about 2 weeks she moved them.

If you get sprayed DO NOT waste your time using tomato juice, it is a complete joke and staining.

Here is a sure fire method of getting rid of the odor.it must be used when mixed as it expands.
mix 1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide (the kind you get at the drug store for less than one dollar, NOT the hair dying stuff), 1/4 cup baking soda 1 tablespoon dish washing liquid. This is the solution used at all wildlife centers and is on The Humane Society website http://www.hsky.org.. At this price you can literally dump it all over your deck if that's what got sprayed......DO NOT get it in your pet's eyes. Another good remedy is Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Liquid Soap.....it a wonderful all natural people soap, works great.

Tomato juice or soup bath is a waste of time and money.

Are they babies? If so, where's the mother?

I have rescued many baby Skunks, where the mother had gotten killed. And to do that it would depend on the shed. If it's low to the ground, and has a wood floor, you would have to remove one or more of the planks, use thick gloves, reach in a grab at the "base" of the tail. If the shed is too high on the ground, but you cannot climb under it, you would have to have a pole to extend under the shed to coax them out the other side, then hopefully you'd be able to either chase them away from there, or you could capture them and re-locate them to a woody area, in which case you'd need a carrying cage.

You can also call your local Animal Shelter, and they would come and set traps for them.

If you attempt to catch them yourself, be prepared. You WILL get sprayed. There's just no way to avoid it. You just don't want to let it get into your eyes! Then after the job is done you fill the tub with a small amount of very warm water, add lots and lots of Tomatoe Juice, and set in the tub for about 20-30 minutes, always splashing the water up over your entire body, and this will eliminate the odor.

Hope this helps

Hi, They are night creatures. So your best bet is working at night when it is gone hunting. It is really hard to discourage them. LET ME TELL YOU --WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH this. We finally had to permantly discourage it. The chicken wire is not a great idea as they will just dig under or around it. Been there and tried that ! It was under the concrete patio we have and that was a huge area ! We live on a farm and had offers of lots of ideas but nothing worked. Three days later her litter finally came out --stinky -- They were young enough to get ahold of and move to better spots. Good luck. L

I would seriously call an exterminator, so they can set a trap and pick them up.

Those things are stinky!
