I was a teen mom at what time. I did not understand the whole of why I got into the situation I did until much further down the road.
My father was in our family but was never available to our family when I hit my teens. Girls have a tendency to look for some one who will love them. The guy who got me pregnant made lots of promises (that he didn't intend to keep) and when I got pregnant dumped me and decided to have nothing to do with me or the baby. I knew how to protect myself but this guy was promising marriage and all so he convinced me that I didn't need protection.
I understand now that if a guy loves you he will be man enough to wait until marriage.

I was 18 when I got pg. I was using the pill. I was going to and OBGYN who told me I could NOT get pg. he thought I had endo. well. I was to start the Lupron Depo shots. so I had to quit the pill well. I had sex on New Years with my now husband. 1 week later I started the shots. was sicker then a dog. I went to get an ultra sound dont they thought I had Apendessitous and nope the found a baby 3 months after I started the Lepron shot. So Yes I had sex ed. I trusted my DR. That is why I got PG I was 18 when I got pg and 18 when I had him. No were near ready but love him none the less.

My niece TRIED to get pregnant at 15 (miscarried) and 17 (to term). I won't go into details of our conversations, but she wanted to have a baby for a combination of reasons:
1) As exemplified by her own mother, she saw it as an acceptable pass on working and attending school.
2) She believed it would validate her as "mature"
3) True to cliche, she missed the benefits of having a good father
4) At 11, she made then rescinded a molestation allegation by her uncle (later convicted of molesting a 3 yo)

uhh, another teen pregnancy question! What does it matter to you? Are you the one having the baby. I'm not trying to be mean, but it dosen't matter how much sex ed you have, you still are just as likely to get pregnant. I wish that people would leave pregnant teens alone. They have enough problems without having to explain to you why they got pregnant!

i guess u could say i got pregnant by accident. i knew how to protect myself but i had unprotected sex all the time. i didnt think it would happen to me but it did. i was 15 when i gave birth to my daughter but that was 3 years ago. i lost my virginity when i was 11. thats about the time that i started masturbating like everyday. i was having sex regularly by the time i was 13, the whole time i was unprotected. i didnt care whether i got pregnant it just didnt matter to me that much.

Ok, I had 2 children before I turned 20. I had my oldest when I was 18 and my youngest when I was 19. I also miscarried a child before I had gotten pregnant with either of my girls. The child I miscarried was concieved while my fiance and I were using condoms. We used them every time we had sex. With my oldest child, I concieved while being on the patch. I was in labor with her for 36 hours, waited until I had been in labor for 24 hours until I got an epidural. With my youngest, I concieved while being on the Nuva Ring. I was in labor with her for 26 hours, waited until I had been in labor for 21 hours until I got an epidural. My fiance and I tried not to have kids. I made sure I used birth control. The only times we had unprotected sex was when I was already pregnant. I got pregnant with my oldest daughter when I was 17. The day I turned 18, my fiance and I moved into our own apartment. I had insurance through my mom because I was still in school. I've never been on welfare, I'm still with my daughters' father and we plan to get married next year. I wasn't the type of girl to sleep with any guy. I had sex with one person prior to meeting my fiance. I always used protection with him. I had dated him for a year and a half. So, I've been with 2 men in my life, I have 2 children by 1 man that I plan on being with for the rest of my life. I'm now on the Mirena. I have another 3 1/2 years before I can have another child. My fiance and I plan on having 1 or 2 more children in the future. I'm glad the way my situation has turned out. I have 2 beautiful daughters, a wonderful man that loves me, I'm going back to college next year. I've been a stay at home mom since the time I had my first child. My girls are 15 months and 27 months and I'm just now going back to work in 2 weeks. I won't put them in daycare. My mother in law will watch them and I'm paying her for it. Right now my fiance and I are looking at houses. We plan on buying one in about 6 months to a year. I guess I'm one of the lucky teen moms there are. I'm not a teen anymore, I'll be 21 in 5 months. Sorry for giving you my life story, but I like to let people know that not all teen moms are losers.
Edit- I didn't know I was pregnant with my oldest daughter until I was 3 months. I was still using the patch and getting my periods regularly. I didn't know with my youngest until I was 2 months. Same thing with the first, I was still inserting the nuva ring on time and continued getting my period. I found out with the child I miscarried when I was 6 weeks. I didn't get my period because we had been using condoms and not hormonal birth control.

My friend got a bladder infection, in which her doctor prescribed an antibiotic. Her pharmacist did not tell her that antibiotics caused BC not to work. Two months and five pregnancy tests latter, she found out that she was pregnant. She was ignorant. Not dumb, just ignorant.
