Why do young women hook up with old men?

I know some do for money, but if money is not involved why?

Why would a girl, who has alot going for her (looks, education, career, etc.), that is in her early to mid 20's want to hook up with a guy in his late 30's or older?

Why would she want to hook up with a man that has older kids, say 10 or older?

If you are the parents of a girl that did or has done this, what do you think?

If you are the parents of a son who hooked up with a young girl, what do you think about her?

Have any of you had a friend that did this? If so, are you all still in contact? friends? do you hang out with the old man and kids? It has been my experience that girls who do this really don't have close friends or seperate themselves from anyone who cares about them. I assume, because they know it is wierd, wrong or something? Right?

If you are a dude that has hooked up like this, I understand, but don't you question her motives or mental state? Do you have friends? What do they think?

I understand a few years difference. I can completely understand why a 23-25 year old girl would date a 27-30 year old man. I just dont get those girls going for a 40 year old dude with teenage kids.

I guess it all depends on an individuals position in life, maturity, education level and decision making ability.

If a 40+ year old man was really mature, didn't play games and, most importantly, had positive intentions, would he really be going after a girl that is closer to his kids age than his own?

I would love to response to why young women hooking up with an old men or really old men. I come from the Philippines. The majority of the people there are very, very poor. The best way to get out from poverty is to marry europeans or Americans. Money and better future driven us to do it. I am the living proof and it has been 25 years ago. My life story was not intentionally wanting to meet an old man....I was spotted by accident by an old British Australia man who saw me at my work place, and he feel in love with me at first sight. It is never a crime to marry an old man for security. He and I laid all rules what is going on between an old and young couple romance.....plenty of dramas and lots of misunderstanding from ages gap to cultural differences. He was honest to let me know that he loves me from the start, and he does not want me to love him back conditionally. He gave me freedom to make my future choices to leave him or stay with him because I was 19 years old. He put me to college, my entire family went to college. He bough me homes, fathered my only child from a rich educated irresponsible guy during our marriage. It was faith and God knows, it was like a random act of kindness from the above force or what. I don't know it happened and until today, I am still looking at my past life, I still don't understand. I am single now, one child and my ex passed away a decade ago. My life story is not ordinary but what I do know is this......young women from my country are looking for older men to hook up or marry for money and better future. If these young girls has good jobs and monies! Non of these hook ups will ever be so prominent or happen in the first place. No young girls want this kind of insanity under their biography but life is tough right now and better yet, it is getting tougher everyday!

I dont know but as a single 35 year old I am looking for one of those girls right now..the thing is a guy who has established themselves is attractive to a girl..plus there is a good chance that the older guy is ready to be a family man

I've known of couples like this! There is no right answer for this. Every couple has a different story...Some women I think tend to feel more secure being with an older man. Some insecure women feel protected and safe with an older man. Some like the attention of feeling like they are looked at as extra special by their man. It makes them feel better about them selves. Because an older man looks more secure than a younger man. He has more established tastes and goals than a young man. He also knows what he's doing with his life as well as his level of higher maturity.

Women like older men because they are mature in most cases. When a man in his late thirty's is more likely to settle down than a man in his late twenty's. It simple women wants a man who will not play games and unfortunately that is older men.

Because they want a secure relationship without any BS that a younger guy would give. An older guy is more stable emotionally and financially, knows what he wants (most of the time), and is a man not a boy.

well i dont know bout the kids thing thats another story lol...but i think sometimes it depends on the way u look and what ur into. i mean i get mistaked for being younger than iam now and id hope it still happens when im in my 30s. and if u honestly like each other and its not bout money or other f**ked up motives and every things legal, go for it

People can be attracted where age, race, religion is not a factor. I personally date men 15 years younger than myself.....just kinda works out that way. That's who I am attracted to and usually compatible with.

I think women like older men because it's a challenge. Plus older men are more mature. And have established their life.
