I would conquer just one room at a time. When your days get too hectic, don't try to accomplish everything all in one day. Maybe one day try to tackle the kitchen, then do another chore another day and so on. Good luck...cleaning house can be a real drag! And as another person suggested, if you have the extra $$ you may want to hire a cleaning person for one day!

There's this machine called the Rainbow cleaner. It's relatively expensive - for a cleaning machine - but it'll last you a lifetime and you can clean once a month after you dedicate half a day on a weekend. It deep cleans EVERYTHING (hardwood floors, carpets, sofas, pillows (anything that can be cleaned....)- it's a waterbased "vaccuum" that collects dust in a pool of water. I have it...it's AMAZING. It cleans the air while I'm at work - you can't imagine all the impurities that you breathe in while you're at home. I think it's worth it.... they can even come to your house to show you how it works... http://www.rainbowsystem.com/eng/

prioritize your free time do a little every night and in about a week you'll be right on top of it and you will not be paying someone else to do it,you'll also feel a sense of accomplishment when you get it under control, always remember that you wear 20% of your clothing 80% of the time so go thru your closets first and then go from there you'll suprise yourself
