I think its not only couragous but a fantastic thing!
I am 20y/o and i am 16 weeks... i have bought a house with the father and we cannot wait until the day he/she arrives!
I dont think young parents should have that stereotype image of being bad parents!

It depends on the situation, of course. If they are responsible and matured enough to face the challenge, then it's a wonderful thing. It only becomes sad when she's a single mother, left alone to fend for themselves by the irresponsible father. Women are supposed to give birth between 18 to 25, that's when the babies will be the healthiest, but the sad reality of life, that is financial matters, comes in the way.

First thing I think of, "Why aren't their parents keeping a better eye on their child??" I mean, why do parents just let their children walk all over them these days? I'm 24, and it wasn't all that long ago I was a kid. And I remember all too clearly getting my butt spanked for doing wrong, or actually being told No that I couldn't go somewhere, and my parents actually getting ALL of the info on the places I was going before telling me I could go. Where do they live? Who are their parents? Are the kids actually in good enough standing for my child to not get in trouble with? I mean, my parents actually cared. These days it seems that the parents let their children do whatever they want just to get them out of their hair. I mean, I used to work at Wal-Mart, and actually lost sales to customers who were going to buy their 7 year old's Grand Theft Auto!! I said, "Are you sure you're approving this for your child?" Most of them would ask why and I'd say "It's rated M for Mature" Most of them would still buy it, others would get after their child for talking them into it. So, anyways, back to subject. I do not feel happy that they are bringing a child into this world! They should keep their little legs shut! I'm against abortion, so I say put the child up for adoption! No, I don't think they're curageous! I think they're sluts! Boys and girls. And they're also cowards for not standing up to peer preassure. The only time I'd dismiss this as anything other than what I have said is in rape cases. In that aspect, the kid's cannot help what happens! My advice to kids, and yes, even you 14, 15, 16, 17 year olds are still kids!: Listen to your parents, you may think at the time that they are wrong, but they know what's best! Look at the other people around you who live a happy life of school and education, you'll know later in life just what it will do for you, and keep your legs closed! And boys keep that thing in your pants! Sex is not all of that that you need to be doing it now! Babies taking care of babies is not a good system to live by. Thanks

I think it is sad because they haven't had a chance to do everything they should be doing like going to football games, prom senior ball etc. Some of them are just children themselves and have no business being pregnant .. I think the parents should have a stronger role in their childrens lives but it's obvious that some parents don't care until it's too late, Then theyabort the baby sometimes and why? That baby did not ask to come into this world so why punish it

I think its sad because I wonder what kind of life the child will have. Who will take care of the baby when the girl is in school? Who will support this baby, our tax payers? Who will supply the baby with insurance, out tax payers? How many of the moms are married? A handful if that. Thats a great enviornment to raise a child in. Why can't they just use condoms or some other form of birth control?

I say both. Sad because they lowered they're standards with the guy because of their hormones. They don't think to much of the future for them and the baby but of what they are doing at that point because they are "in love".
Couragous because, It take a lot to take care of a baby and go to school. I had friend who did that. She had a lot of support from her family, they helped as much as they could. It ain't easy.

Sweetly asked-What do you think when you see teenage mothers?
Do you think its sad or do you think they are couragous for taking on life? -Please don't make me laugh, harder than I already am. This has to be a joke right? Why would I feel they are couragous for opening-up their legs and sometimes fcuking up the best that came along? real courageous there...., and sad? I don't feel sorry for ANYONE who fcuks up their life, knowing before hand they are playing jeopardy. And, don't you mean COURAGEOUS?

I have alot of different feelings. I see alot of teen mom's alone and wonder why the guy who was apart of the process couldn't step up and take responsibility.
In some cases I wonder if they realize that they could have prepared better because being a mom at that age you throw away you chance to be a teen and to make better decisions before the children arrive. It's not just about "playing house and dolls".
I do applaud any teen who is willing to step up and take responsibility for their action and not make the mistake of ending a life because they wanted to have fun and weren't ready for the responsibility.

My first thought is - how sad - if they had better parents, that wouldn't have happened and then I think they are brave and did the right thing by not murdering their child in utero - unless of course they are 19 and have three kids by three different fathers and I then I just think - taking advantage of the welfare system! Accidents can happen and God bless those who step up to the plate and do what they have to do and learn from their mistakes!!!

i think it is sooo sad and couldnt imagine that for my little girl kids should have the chance to be kids then to persue their dreams before being saddled with another life to be responsible for
i also think it is sad for the child most teenage moms end up dropping out of school and in a job making little over minimum wage not nearly enough to support themselves and a child

well i am a mother of a daughter who was a teenage mother, and i told her she had to get a job and be responsible for her child and she did, she is married now, and has four children and the oldest is now seven years old.
all they need is a little help and guidance from their parents if the father of the child is a dead beat dad, which my first grandchild's father is. his step dad is great with him and he sees his step dad as his father. he respects him too.
but that teenage mother (my daughter) graduated from high school and is attending college too. so she has done good for herself. but i know not all mothers will not support her daughter if they become teenage mom's
i don't degrade the child, i just wish more parents would encourage their teenage child mom to succeed, stay in school and so forth.
